RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a standardized format for XML files that contain short messages. In contrast to newsletters, RSS files are not broadcasted from one sender to many receivers but the receivers retrieve messages when and where they want them.

The most common free program to display RSS files is FeedReader. It may be downloaded here:
